Visibility of voices

Can we arrange it so that all voices other than the one currently selected for depositing notes are dimmed out?

Do you mean the notes themselves on the staff becoming 'dimmed' somehow?
Because all voices (buttons on the toolbar) other "than the one currently selected for depositing notes are dimmed out".
Is that not helpful?

Yes. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

For example, in Encore and Overture, when we set to deposit notes in a specific voice (other than the default entry to voice 1), notes on the staff in other voices are dimmed.

That helps a lot when entering notes in a specific voice (for example, entering the soprano part in an SATB closed score). It avoids confusion with the alto part.

Here is how it looks in Overture when entering the soprano part in voice 2 of an SATB closed score:
