I would like to request a feature whereby when you select to add Capo chords to your score from Style>General>Chord Symbols Fretboard diagram that you have a choice to have the capo chords in brackets to be placed either below the main chord or above the main chord.

Thank you

FWIW, I too wondered about the chocie to render them the way we did. I don't use capo chords often (ressentially never) but it does seem books I've seen put them above or below. But indeed, more research showed that doing it the way we do is common as well.

I think we could consider having an general style option to allow you to specify an alternate text style for cap chords or something like that, mayb e also to control whether they are parenthesized.

Virtually all the music I'm notating requires capo chords above the regular chords, with the capo chords in parentheses. So my vote is to make this available as an option.

Adding my two cents...

This and the capo setting being staff-based instead of global (https://musescore.org/en/node/296133) are hot items for me trying to write music with both guitar and keyboard parts.

Some keyboardist prefer to play from guitar music, as they can improvise using the chords provided. That same music is used by a guitar as well, using the capo chords.

Default format for capo chords should also be bold, in parenthesis and centered instead of left-justified.

(For that matter, all chord symbols should be centered).

If you want examples, look at any modern religious music. Here's a prime example of the standard formatting:

The closest I've been able to accomplish is by placing the capo'd chords on their own staff and manipulating the staff to hide all but the chords. It's a hot mess to setup, but did do the trick in the end. (See attached)

I'll see about mocking that up.

Also, I'd also like the option to show Roman numbering or Nashville numbering. Of course, I'd like it if there was a toggle for that in ordinary chord symbols, but also to have normal chord symbol lettering and Romans or Nashville.
