How can I disable red notes?

How can I disable the red notes function in vocal parts? I tried to change the color of the note back to black but the red persisted.

2 mehods:

1. right-click the stave > stave properties > play wih the usable pitch range (either amateur or professional or both)

2. Edit > Preferences > Note Entry > untick Color notes outside of usable pitch range

Note the color is just for display - they won't print that way. And do be aware those red notes are trying to tell you something. If you the ranges of the people who will be singing the parts and are sure they can hit those notes, then by all means, you may turn off or simply ignore the warning. I find it useful to leave it on. You can also customize the specific ranges for which the warning is produced, via the staff properties dialog, if you'd like to simply broaden the range considered usable.

I am typesetting a musical example from a work by Debussy, who has a baritone singing above middle C. Some sources state that a baritone can sing up to F above middle C and this note is below that. However, Musescore is coloring that note red in a baritone part. A professional opera singer can handle it.

If it's existing music you're dealing with, I'd simply turn off the warnings, since you're not going to do anything about them anyhow. If it were me writing something myself, I'd probably just customize the ranges to reflect what I believed to be appropriate for the audience I was writing for.
