Question about copyright
So if for example I'm working on a duo violin version of a song that isn't made by me, but is arranged by me, what kind of copyright is that?
Where I'm using someone else's song but I'm making my version of it?

It still is the other's copyright. If you have that person's (written) consent, you can publish your arrangement, and that arrangement may have a copyright of it's own.

Idk, i've seen versions of this song already published on musescore

Copyright wise that doesn't make and difference.
If the song is already on musescore.com then there may be a licensing agreement in place whereby Musescore pay the copyright holder. If not then the other uploaded versions will probably get taken down, (i.e. made private.)
You can find out by uploading your version with correct attribution, (song title and composer), and see what happens. If there is no licensing agreement then Musescore will set your score to "Private" so that you can still use it but not share it with others.
There doesn't seem to be any other way of checking for a licensing agreement.
No, giving credit does not count. This is all about copyright law.
