Adding in a Count in Measure
I am in the middle of writing the score and I would like to add in a count-in measure. Please, what are the steps for adding in a count-in measure?
Thank you for any help.

To add a measure to the start of a score, select the first measure and press insert. If you need to change the number of beats in the measures, right click it, select measure properties and change the actual duration.

That was helpful, indeed. Thank you!
If you just want to hear the count-in for playback but don't want it in your score, go to View / Plan Panel and check the appropriate box.

I believe it's "Play Panel", not "Plan Panel". Took me about an hour to figure it out. ;-)
Love this feature BTW.

The icon of the conductor baton far bottom left. I think it used to be a plain checkbox back in 2018.

I looked at your graphic, which does not correspond to my Play Panel image. It seems you have three categories above the Play Panel segment (Element, Segment, and Clef) ... how do you make those three categories appear?

They are in the Inspector (if a clef is selected), and that image shows the play pannel docked

That's the Inspector, which is normally always visible, but you can reopen it via the View menu if you previously closed it. Also, both the Play Panel and Inspector can be docked as shown or to opposite sides of the screen, or made free floating. So the specific arrangement of those windows can be different from system to system depending on how people have set it up.
I'd love an option for enabling count in also after a section break. That's probably not a very common request, though, but it would have come in handy for me on a couple of occasions.

It actually should do that automatically, if a countin is enable for the score (and happens at its start)

It doesn't do so for me. It only counts in at the very beginning. I've added a mscz. On my system, anyway, this plays with no count-in after the section break.

As said it should, I know it does not currently ;-)
(Sorry for having been a bit unclear about that)

Feel free to ad this eot the issue tracker as a Suggestion.
Just recently another feature with regards to section breaks did get implemented: the last system fill theshold now also affects the system with a section break, not just the last system of the entire score.

Cool, I'll do that. :-) But - how relevant is it really to ad to the tracker these days? Will these issues carry over to M4? In some ways, waiting for M4 might be easier, and then see what's been patched. Or could it happen that what's added to the tracker gets picked up for M4?

You could could also add as an Issue on GitHub

Thanks for #329882: count-in after section breaks
