Select page size and alignment in Setup Wizard
A suggestion for a future version: Making it possible to choose page size and alignment in the setup wizard. Not only would this save a step (changing this in Page Setup), but it would also make it less likely to create an entire score using the wrong page size. (I particularly see this with newer users here in the US, where a score is created using A4 rather than letter, so it either causes printer issues or makes the margins less than attractive.)

I know that's supposed to be what happens, but I've found that it doesn't work as often as it does. And for printers that can accommodate multiple page sizes, being able to choose this in the setup wizard would cut out a step. But I do think it would be particularly helpful for newer users. I'd say that at least half of the scores I see my friends and colleagues create use a default page size that is incorrect for their printer.

Weird, are they on Linux? The tactic of checking default printer works well on Windows on macOS, but definitely less so on Linux. Hopefully we will find a better way of handling this in the future. But meanwhile, try the attached MSS file - set it as your default for new scores in Edit / Preferences / Score, and Letter becomes your default. And feel free to share it with your friends.
