Converting 4/4 time to Cut time, converting note values to match
Hi, everyone,
I am combining two pieces of music, one in 4/4 and one in cut time. Each piece is already in Musescore. Is there a way to convert the 4/4/ piece to cut time, keeping the tempo of the song, before combining/arranging it with the cut time song? I am hoping for a faster way than to manually key in every note with the new value to match cut time rather than 4/4. Is there a way? Any help is appreciated.

You might want to look at Edit >Paste Half Duration or Edit >Paste Double Duration.

Shoot, I tried that and it didn't quite work. Thanks anyway! I didn't realize that the half duration/double duration was even there.

It normally works perfectly, are you sure you are doing it correctly? Can you be more specific about what didn't work? If you attach your score and give precise steps to reproduce the problem, we can understand and assist further.

I found this post needing to do the same exact thing. Paste double-duration Paste half-duration indeed works fine! Saved my ass. Thanks!
