Change Beam for Odd time meter
I created a odd time meter of 11/8. Musescore gives me 11 eighth notes all beamed together, see screenshot 1. I want to break up the beaming so that I get (3 groups of 3 eighth notes) and (1 group of 2 eight notes), see screenshot 2. I tried all the beam properties and it either unbeams all of them or beams them all together. How can I group them the way I describe above?

This did not help. As I mentioned in my post I already tried the beam properties and time signature. If you can do it please take and post screenshot of your result and the steps you used to transform it into that form. Thank you.

In order to assist, we would need you to attach the actual score with the problem, not just a picture of it. And then give the precise steps you followed in attempting to set the beaming. Works fine for me in my scores, so there must be something different either about your particular score or the steps you are following.

Thanks for providing the picture but how did you do it?
What steps do I take to achieve this?
Here is my file.

From the dialog box (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/time-signatures#time-sig-properties ), click on each note you want to separate.

Thank you. I just figured it out. I click on the note where the group begins and click on the left -most button "Beam star". This breaks the beam from the previous note, as shown in screenshot 1. This was in the first link of the documentation you provided, screenshot 2. Thank you - much appreciated : )

How did you get it in that form? 3 + 3 + 3 +2
My time signature just has a beam over all 11 eighth notes. And clicking on the beam properties does not change it.

Solution was to break the beam with "Beam Star" button in beam properties on each note that starts a new group.
