Joining Beams for Octuplets and Arpeggios
I am working on a piano score in 12/8 time. The treble clef (right hand) is in 16th notes. The bass clef is eighth note octuplets. Musescore breaks down the 16th notes into groups of six notes each (four groups per bar). It breaks down the octuplets into four groups of four per bar. I would like to be able to join the 16th notes into two groups of twelve and the eight not octuplets into two groups of eight. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. I'm on an IMac. Thx.
The screenshot is. taken from the pdf I'm copying and is how I would like to display my trascription.

The previous screenshot shows the octuplets. The one below is what I would like for presenting arpeggios.
To change beaming, see the Beam Properties palette. You can join and break beams, establish sub-beams, feathering, etc. For more info see the handbook section on beams. And if you need further assistance, please attach your actual score instead of just a picture, then we can give more direct assistance.

Thanks. I wanted to join two beams of 16th notes. I looked at the manual but it is not registering in my brain. The palette doesn't do what I need. I'll go back to the handbook...
Thanks for your responses. I now understand how to use the beams from the palette.
