How to add the term "sim"?
I want to add the term simile after the first two measures to indicate that pedaling should continue as indicated. For the reader of the music, I mean, not for playback. I wish playback would register it, so I wouldn't have to copy-paste so many invisible pedal marks. But-- how could I enter "sim."?

Simpy use staff text from the palette or shift-t from the keyboard and type "sim." you can even make it italics if you prefer by typing "ctrl-i before you type the text.

Here's a model of what I've got. Thank you!
If you want it to playback, you could enter the pedal line, use Line Properties to enter that text, then use the Inspector to set the line itself invisible.

We could add a sim feature as a feature request

The trick would be designed and developing the AI to understand exactly what it should mean - what specifically is being repeatedly similarly, and how to figure out what similar means (like analysis the harmonies to determine where the chord changes are). In practice there is almost no chance a computer program is going to be doing that well enough to be worth the considerable effort involved in developing all that AI.
