trill symbol in staff text
[3.6.2 on Windows]
I'm trying to add square brackets around editorial trills in a baroque score. I've looked at a few other posts on this topic, and it seems like maybe it'll be added as a feature in the inspector later? Let's hope? In the meantime, using staff texts for brackets and fiddling with them to go around a trill has been kind of infuriating. I think that the easiest way to achieve this would be to use only Staff Text: [tr]
But the symbol for trill using the master palette, or pressing F2 while typing, looks different than the standard trill symbol in the ornaments palette. Is there any way to get the standard trill symbol in staff text? I've tried changing fonts but it doesn't seem to change anything.
Thanks for your help!

Try Leland for the text to make it look like the notation, or Bravura for the notation (in Format / Style / General) to make it look like the text.

Thanks! I've tried changing the font for the staff text in the inspector, but it doesn't change the symbol. What do you suppose I'm doing wrong?

Wait all of a sudden it's working now... I'll stop complaining! Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't use the Inspector for this - that only controls the "normal" characters. "Special" characters (e.g., literally the ones entered via that dialog) are converted internally to a music font, since most normal fonts won't contain them. So you'll usually want to override that in the text toolbar just for this character.

Oh my goodness... I had literally never noticed the text toolbar before. Thank you!
