How to notate a repeated pattern ?
I've got an 8 bars pattern that will be repeated over-and-over (*).
How would you note this ?
For now I've just used a staff text with a text "repeat pattern".
Any better idea ?
(*: the instructions would be that a looper pedal is acceptable).

See the measure repeat symbol on the Repeats palette (looks kind of like a % sign). But if it's eight bars ling, there is no standard way to indicate that. You could indeed just use text, and maybe fill the measures with slashes.

This one is about a one bar repetition. I heard MS4 would have the traditional "%%". Here my pattern is 8 bars. My question is not only about technically how to do it, but also musically. Are there traditional ways of doing this ?

One (traditional musical) way to do it is to enclose the repeated section between open and close repeat barlines with a text note above to indicate the number of times the section should be played. The number of times that Musescore takes the repeat can be specified as "Play count" in the measure properties for the final repeated measure.
This really only works if the whole band is making the repeat. It is not clear if that is your case.
