Separate Mel from System
Is there a way to remove the bar line connecting the melody to the SATB system (indicated with red arrow) without erasing the bar line that opens the measure for the melody at the beginning of every system (indicated in blue). When I tried going to staff properties and hiding bar lines it removed both throughout the entire piece. Would like the melody to still have all of its bar lines.

Is there a special reason to do this? It's incorrect notation and would be highly confusing to any reading the score. By disconnecting the system barlinbe, you are telling people the melody staff is a separate system, that it should be sung first, and then the rest of the parts sung afterwards. Is that truly what you mean? Is so, that melody should actually be another system - additional measures inserted before the existing ones.
