- MIDI input and output, Keyboard «Casio» and Notebook Windows 10 -
I am unable to make MuseScore recognise my Casio WK 8000 as an input «or output» MIDI Keyboard. The Keyboard is surely connected to the Notebook, the Notebook is new and does, in itself, recognise the keyboard.
My MuseScore is one of the last versions there is.
I have heard this is a recurring problem, if anyone can shed some light on this, I will be very grateful.
Thank you for your attention!

Connect the casio before loading Musescore;

That was already been tried to no avail.

Be sure it has 64-bt drivers, and if not, switching to a 32-bit build of MuseScore may work

I will try that, although it wouldn't make any sense, since my system is a Windows 10 64bit.

Is your MuseScore also 64 bit?

Yes.

Oh, I don't seem to find that driver at Casio, nor on the surface of the Internet. I mean, there is only a 64-bit version.

I have installed it, and NOTHING seems to happen or work in the correct way.
Did you open Edit/Preferences dialog and select CASIO in MIDI input?
Did you choose right note input mode, like "Real-time (manual)"?
Also do not forget to activate note input button.
I just tried this with my CASIO PRIVIA PX 850 and it worked but ... it did not worked from the first (perhaps I forget to do something or it can be a little buggy, I don't know?).
Try your keyboard with some other software.

Yes, I did open that thing and its functions... I CANNOT choose my keyboard as MIDI input. I CANNOT change those configurations. I am NOT going to uninstall now and install it again to test on the same software. I have a Sibelius 7.5 installed now «with NotePerformer, which betters the performance and timbre of sample sounds», and it works. So it is definitely Musescore fault.

Be sure no other program is requesting exclusive use of the device, and/or make sure your OS does not allow other programs exclusive use.
I was able, this year, almost right now, to solve this... Actually I don't know what I did, I reinstalled Windows, because it was buggy and then reinstalled Sibelius and MuseScore... It's WORKING!!!

It's Windows 11 now.
