Headphones not working - Muse Score 4
My Bose QC 35 headphones will not play my score. I have tried setting the buffer size to all three settings. I've turned the headphones on and off to see if that helps. I've restarted my computer. My MIDI keyboard works just fine. But I get no playback. Can anyone help?

Make sure they are turned on before you open MuseScore. And that they are selected in I/O. Don't turn them off after the program starts.

Thanks. Unfortunately, this didn't work! Process I used: (1) Powered on headphones; (2) Checked in I/O that it showed Bose Headphones; (3) opened my score. Anything I'm missing?

Make sure they are selected as your computer playback device. Though that should have happened automatically.

Possibly Step (0) - Ensure that Musescore is not running.
In your step (3) you may be opening a score with Musescore already running and locked into a certain audio device stet up. It seems some users need to start Musescore afresh to get the presence of audio devices recognised by it. There seems to be some failure of communication between OS and Musescore otherwise. It is not clear to me whether this is a case of OS not talking or Musescore not listening or OS talking but not saying something Musescore understands.
I may also be talking rubbish as it all just works for me. I am reporting here what I have read in other users' posts.
