How to create "unmeasured eighths"?
I'm not exactly sure what these are called, they're common in cadenzas, but I'm trying to transcribe this and have no idea how to get the 8ths to appear like Rachmaninoff did. The small 8th notes are technically a number of different tuplets but I'd like them to look the same. Any ideas on how to get these notes to look the same on Musescore?

I know how to do the smaller notes, but that doesn't address the issue of there needing to be only one beam as eighth notes. If I try to create a tuplet from the quarter note they automatically set to having two beams like a 16th note...
from what i know, in the mixer, (i think) there should be a way to edit notes and make them smaller, ive never had to do it so i dont know but im sure ive seen the option

In the top stave, create and select a quarter-note rest. Add >Tuplets >Other and set to 8:2.
