Yes I know, not same function as text, just a sliding bar. Would been more logical to click the bpm.
When starting a new score and not making a tempo in the wizard, I often find myself clicking on the bpm to change/make a bpm when I’m in the score.
But all in all, a small thing.

The thing is, even if that were turned into another temporary override to the real tempo like the existing slider, it still wouldn't be the right place to add tempo marks to your score. To do that, use the Tempo palette, or the shortcut Alt+Shift+T, or the Add menu.
