Can no longer play back
I have been using MuseScore 3 for a few months, for very simple projects, and have been very happy with it. One feature that I have liked very much is being able to listen as I have inserted notes and to play back an entire tune. Suddenly today I am not able to do listen to each note any more, and the playback arrow on the toolbar seems to be greyed out. My headphones (OpenMove by AfterShokz) seem to be working normally.
What has happened and what can I do to fix it? Could this have anything to do with the latest Windows 10 update?

This is weird -- now that function is back! I still don't know why it went away or why it came back.

And now it's gone again. I can't load the Play panel, either.
I think it's the AfterShokz headphones (or their driver); when I use another pair (PowerLocus), the playback feature is there and works.

Bluetooth devices must be connected before starting MuseScore. Easy to forget. And they must be selected in Preferences, I/O

Yes. I was connecting the AfterShokz headphones before starting MuseScore. I haven't figured out yet why MuseScore didn't recognize them.

Hmmm -- I hadn't thought about selecting the AfterShokz in Preferences. Will give that a try. Thanks!
