Adding Punctuation After A Melisma
Is there a way when adding lyrics to have the punctuation after a melisma?
I've been trying and haven't been able to do it. In the attached example, I'd like the punctuation after "gold" and after "fire" to come after the melisma so that they would look like: "gold___," and "fire___.".
I just can't figger out how to do that...

That sort of worked on "fire" because there's three notes in the melisma, but it simply removes the melisma altogether for "gold" where there's only two notes.

Thank you! I'll do that for now as it works where there's a rest. There are a few places in the piece where there's no rest before the next note, but I've used your idea to add the punctuation to the front of the next word. I've attached a picture of adding the punctuation to the front of "bouncing".
I appreciate the help!
I gather from this discussion that there is no way to have punctuation added at the end of a melisma line. Too bad. I'm attaching an example where a comma at the end would be much better ("Ruh___," instead of "Ruh,___").
