I notice that, when adding tablature to a bass guitar line, using a linked stave, the tab reads an octave too high.

Might be related to bass (guitar) to be transposing an octave?
Change the transposition and the clef
Or that your tab staff uses a different transposing (probably none)?

Hi. As the two staffs are linked, if I transpose the bass tab up an octave so that it reads correctly, then the bass guitar traditional notation is then put up an octave too. I guess this is because the bass, like the classical guitar, is written an octave higher than it sounds. I still think that Musescore needs to look into this.

Check the staves' properties, esp. their transposition settings
I have 2 compositions with E. bass that have standard staff & TAB. Somehow I set up the bass notation OK (at least for me). This is in the Mu3.6.2 version. FWIW...
