Grouping in 2nd voice
Hello guys,
I am working on a big symphonic overture. Suddenly I noticed that somehow all my grouping in the second voice was damaged. It should be like I highlighted on the screenshot, but they are separated. It is so on 8 previous backups. I don't know when it happened. I'm checking every measure. But I couldn't imagine that when I correct 407 measure something may happen in all previous :(
How to quickly fix it? What would you advise me to do?
Please help to find the answers for the next two questions, I couldn't find them anywhere.
1. How to select the second voice note when it is the same as the first voice? In this case it is hidden under the 1st voice note. For instance, it is G in both voices.
2. I need to unite two notes under one beam. Now I do it like this:
- I select 2 notes
- I press "middle beam" and it joins everything around also
- I select the first note and press "beam start"
Maybe there is another way to do it?
Please help.

I am not sure that this is a complete solution, but you might try it as a mass update:
4a. In the Beam Properties palette, choose the Beam middle symbol (MS3)
4b. In the Beam Properties palette, choose the Join beams symbol (MS4)
"1. How to select the second voice note when it is the same as the first voice? In this case it is hidden under the 1st voice note. For instance, it is G in both voices."
Click to select Voice1, then Ctrl+click to move to Voice 2.

Select only the rest before pressing middle beam.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/beams and study the table which describes the action of the different beaming options.
Make sure to not have deleted these (non voice 1) rests you want to beam

Yes, I understand the situation. However, the fact that the program functions this way is not acceptable. In my experience, when I make changes in the program, I see those changes immediately upon entering them. For example, if I enter a quarter note, I can see it and then save and close the file. When I reopen the file, the quarter note is still there. Therefore, it is strange to open the file and see a different note, such as a half note or no note at all. This is clearly a bug, and any developer would agree.
As someone who works in IT, I cannot imagine creating a program that does not open what the user has saved.

As someone who works in IT, you must be aware, bugs don't happen on purpose, but nonetheless happen from time to time. As long as you have opened an issue to report this, it will be investigated and dealt with in due course.
