What are the extra coloured dots and dotted lines within a selected area

Working on an imported pdf which may have imperfections.
As below. The magenta markings are only visible while shift and click-drag are pressed, on release only the selection square is visible. But what are they? Some are related to accents abut some are related to notes.

Thank you but I don't know what you mean by an anchor. Could you kindly explain the concept? I note that every dotted line runs from an element to somewhere on a stave line.

It is the position that element belongs too, the one its offset parameters are referring to

Do you mean the notes should have been written in a slightly different place? But how about the accents? Why do they have two anchors?

Notes are positioned where they are rhythmically, so you shouldn't change anything.
Any articulations (accent, staccato, tenuto etc.) are attached to an individual note.
In general, please attach a score file (.mscz file) rather than an image, because the score file allows people to open your score and recreate the problem very easily. You will get a better response that way, honestly.
