Dynamic not working, excruciatingly loud

Title. The p at the end isn't working. If it helps, I basically selected the note, opened Dynamics and clicked p, double-clicked on the newly placed dynamic, edited it so that instead of saying "p" it said "p dolce.", and then aligned left. When I don't edit the "p" it works fine but once I type something in the box it goes goodbye-ears mode. Help?
