Print or export scores with wallpaper
Is it possible to print a score, or export it to PDF, with the wallpaper printed too? It seems that printing and export always has a plain, white background. I would like the printed/exported copy to have the same look as I have it set in MuseScore3.
Thanks.

The way to do that would be to actually add an image to your score. Or export then add a watermark in a PDF editor.

Thank you for your reply. Since posting this question I learned to export the scores as SVG files and place them over a background. It is certainly not a big deal, but it seems kind of intuitive that if you add a background it would print or export with the score. Maybe a future (low priority) enhancement?

Could be, but for the record, no, most people would not want to decrease readability or spend extra ink by putting backgrounds on the paper. Normally people use these just while editing, to make the screen less stark white. And then if they want to print on textured paper or whatever also (really quite unrelated to what they might want to see on screen), they do that. But actually printing background images would abnormally be quite rare. Not saying it couldn't be done, but it would need to not happen by default, because definitely it would be counterintuitive to most people to have this. Just like switching to dark mode doesn't cause your score to literally print white-on-black - that's meant for on-screen display only, to reduce eyestrain.

Yes, excellent points. I actually was printing to a "Save to PDF" option because I saw that when I exported to PDF the wallpaper did not go with the export. I wanted the PDF scores with background for a video I am creating for YouTube. But the SVG images work very well, I've found. If printing with the background becomes a future enhancement, it should definitely be an option, not the default - as you stated. Thanks again.
