anacrusis
How can I add an anacrusis bar to an existing score? Both at the start, and in the body of the score. Brahms suddenly stretches a 3/8 over two bars, to alter the phrase. It really screws up my editing of the score - and especially, ruins the conversion from a pdf score to Musescore.

Insert a new measure, and change as wished the Actual Duration in Measure Properties (right-click)

Thanks, cadiz 1. I have done that, but adding a new bar (measure) alters the bar numbering. As I have several pages to print out, this is confusing whilst editing a large symphony. Anacrusis is offered only when creating a fresh score, sadly.
Is it possible to 'delay' the numbering in some way? That would circumvent the problem.

Sorry, I should have specified that.
Right-click the new measure -> Measure properties -> Tick "Exclude from measure count"

Aha! You are an Ace! Tools are all there somewhere; and always something new and useful to learn. Many thanks.
I really need to have a word with Brahms.
