Melisma
I cannot add a melisma to my lyrics. I am in MuseScore 4 and have followed the directions in the handbook. What am I doing wrong?

a) For any diagnosis you really must give some information about your operating system and its version number (Windows? Mac? Linux?).
b) Please describe exactly what does happen when you follow the Melisma instructions in the Handbook:

Not one to give up, I kept trying. Finally, I went to Format, Style, Lyrics and changed the alignment of the melisma from left to right. Since doing that, it has been working well.

Glad that you fixed it, and in an interesting way.
Personally I have never changed the alignment of a melisma from the default (left align) - instead I increase the space between the lyric and the melisma with Format > Style > Lyrics > > Lyrics Melisma > Melisma pad (increase from 0.10sp to 0.50sp).

Hello, I am using MS 4, OS: macOS 14.0, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.1.1-232071203, revision: e4d1ddf.
If I follow the instructions in the handbook no Melisma appears.
