Articulation above every note in note mode
I somehow got into a situation with Musescore 4 where I have a tenuto above every note in note mode. I can certainly go back and delete the tenuto, but that is a pain. How can I fix this?

That did work, but it deleted every single tenuto on that staff. I am just happy it worked. Thank you.

It is easy to read your initial post above as that you wanted to remove all the tenuto markings. But here you seem surprised and not entirely happy with the proposed fix, which did remove them all. When you asked how to fix it, what was it you actually wanted to fix?

I understand. When I choose an eighth note, for example, and I place the eighth note on the staff, it automatically has a tenuto prepopulated on it, like I have no choice but to have a tenuto on my notes. How did I get into a situation where this occurs? I feel like I am inadvertently clicking on something that causes this and would like to know how to get out of that particular "mode." Don't get me wrong, I am very appreciative for the support.

Strange, I've never heard of that.
Try: Revert to factory settings.

Really? Are you sure that you are not invoking a shortcut for the tenuto, by mistake? On my version of MS, the tenuto shortcut is Shift+N - which might be triggered when you are intending to go for N (Note input: toggle note input mode).

And when you saw that happening, you could have gone to the tool bar and de-selected the tenuto sign.

Shift-N toggles, i.e. it sets a tenuto or it removes it.
EDIT:
For a short time I thought Caps-Lock might be causing this. But it doesn't.

Well sure, if you're lucky enough to be able to remember all the shortcuts. I am lucky to be able to remember to wake up in the morning, sometimes.
