I need this dynamic in a single measure: decrescendo p crescendo. The words would be symbols. How do I make it?

Apparently this will become a lot easier in a future update of MS4. But right now you have to attach the anchor points of hairpins (cresc. or decresc.) and dynamics (p, mf, f) to existing notes or rests in the measure.
So for now you have to use a workaround by creating hidden rests in an unused Voice:

Thank you for understanding my question and giving the right answer. Follow up question. How do I add and hide that second voice in Example 3?

Got it. Thanks. Had to enter the notes individually both got it.
