Notes are held through section breaks
I just upgraded to MuseScore 4.2. A new bug has appeared. Where I have a section break within the score, there is supposed to be three seconds of silence between the sections. In 4.2, the last notes in the first section don't cut off. They continue to sound through the whole three second break, only cutting off when the next section starts playing.
The same problem also happens with caesuras. Instead of producing a break in the playback, it pauses but the note before it continues to sound.

As a test, turn off reverb.

Here you go. It has both a section break and a caesura. Both play back incorrectly, in slightly different ways. Turning off reverb doesn't affect either one.

Check if it happens with fermatas.

Fermatas are fine, but of course the note is supposed to keep sounding in that case.

Ok I forgot that it was fermata plus comma that does that.
Bug confirmed in version 4.2. The passage works as intended in version 3.6.2.

Good afternoon Jojo,
What kind of release schedule is MS4 going to be on? It would be nice to get bug fixes every quarter, and features as they become viable.
