Tied notes don't perform articulations correctly
I'm basically putting portatos on everything or else there's not enough space to hear a rhythm, even with only two instruments
and it is impossible to get tied notes to be played shorter; it's ignoring articulation markings.

My score is the tchaikovsky symphony 4; I promise just making a tied note, slapping a staccato, portato, or some other note length articulation on it and observing that it doesn't affect anything would be faster
I could have specified that it's the general release musescore 4 that I'm talking about here

also the oboe is sufficiently out of tune to be annoying, but I doubt this is the right forum for that observation

If you are after separation, turn the reverb down or off. Or get a different reverb from the Hub. On my system, flute 2 doesn't sound good in this situation. Using flute 1 for both flute parts sounded much better, Pan your score so that you instruments aren't all on top of each other. I often use English horn for oboe. I removed your articulations and it didn't sound too bad. It still might need some. But maybe not on every note
