How do I delete bars?
Hello everyone, newbie here! 😺
I just started using MuseScore for the first time over the past few days. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to delete bars. When I select one or more bars and try to 'delete', it only turns them into empty bars, and won't actually delete them! Can anyone tell me how to delete bars? I tried looking it up in the handbook, and can't find anything about it.

To sum up: the Del key removes the contents of the bar/measure, and only that.
Ctrl/Cmd + Del deletes the bar/measure itself.

@cadiz1 - Thank you so much for your help!!! (I guess I needed to search for 'measures' instead of 'bars' in the handbook.) I really needed to know this for today. I am sending my MuseScore file to someone, and I must remove all the extra measures stuck at the end of my score. Many many thanks!!! 😸

So, in this case, the fastest way for you was: menu Tools / Remove empty trailing measures (as indicated in the handbook).
Measure (US) = Bar (UK) :)

Oh, I didn't know there was a short-cut to remove trailing measures at the end of the score. GOOD TO KNOW 👍 Thanks very much again! 😸 (Hmm, I didn't know 'measure' was a North American term. I shall keep that in mind, cheers.)
