Text fonts

Hi everyone,
I always take a long time finding the perfect title font for my scores, especially because you aren't able to see what to fonts look like before clicking it, so I have made a document in which all the fonts are screenshotted with the title beside it so that you can easily scroll through it, find the perfect font which fits your score and just copy and paste the name of the font. You are all welcome to use it! I have left out some of the basic fonts like arial, but the all the other fonts are in there. When you copy and paste the title, make sure to click on the arrow beside the font after pasting it, otherways it doesn't work.
Have fun!!

This is SO HELPFUL, thank you so much!!

Just curious, are these fonts that come with the app only? I was hoping to use a locally installed font from my computer for the text (like Composer, Copyright, etc) but it does not show up in the list of text fonts in Musescore for me. Is there a way to do this, or are we limited only to the fonts in the app?

I run both MuseScore 3 and MuseScore 4 on a Windows 11 PC. I have a font (Cardo) which I use regularly for many text elements--Title/Composer, Lyrics, Instrument Names, etc.--which is not native to either Windows or MuseScore. And I have no problems loading or accessing it on either versions of MuseScore.

Do remember, however--if you plan to share .mscz files directly with others (on musescore.com, say), they will not display correctly unless the other party also has that font installed.

There's also Metrico, which loads as a font file, but can then be used to notate metrical modulations and equivalencies.

Hi, sorry for the late response! I've never installed any new fonts, these are the fonts that came with it when I installed musescore, after some researching, I found out that some people have different fonts available than others. I am not sure why this happens, maybe windows and mac have different musescore apps with different fonts available? I have windows, so if you also have a windows device, I think you should have the same fonts as me installed on the app. I saw on some other posts that you can also install fonts, but there isn't a clear explanation anywhere on how to do this...
