Gliss straight and wavy
Hi All,
I have applied a straight gliss to a viola part and it sounds wavy. I tried applying a wavy gliss, it sounded the same as a straight gliss.
I've tried this on Muse and Berlin and other instrumnets sets, it all sounds wavy. Is this a known issue that Musecore plays a straight gliss as wavy?
Running Musescore 4.4.3.2... on Windows 11
All the best,
Rob

Yes, unless I'm wildly mistooken, MuS has only one glissando sound.

It has different styles, diatonic, white keys, ..., portamento
At least the latter doesn't work with Muse Sound, just with MS Basic

One sound but five playback styles: diatonic, chromatic, black keys, white keys, portamento.
The wavy/straight lines and whether the text "glis." is shown are just a matter of visual style and can be set independently of the playback style. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/arpeggios-and-glissandi#glissandi

Indeed, I had confused glissando with arpeggio. The "portamento" sound, using MS Basic piano is REALLY wierd!!!
