Corrupt File
I've looked in many forums but everything I see requires the file to be opened up. The error message is "File"The Ballad of Griffin" is corrupted. Opening this file may cause Musescore to malfunction." When I select open anyway it does not open it and just goes to a blank screen. There is no 'show details' option. I've tried using WinZip and that did not work either. The file is attached. I use Musescore four.

This file is not empty (a good thing) but is not a MuseScore file at all. Not a pdf either.

How do you know it's not a MuseScore file? My other files also are .mscz and they are opening fine.

I peeked inside the file. MSCZ files have a certain structure (they are disguised ZIP files) and this file has nothing that resembles that structure even remotely. However, I found the following human readable text in it, maybe it will give you a clue:
