How do I make something invisible

I need to make the whole rest in an empty measure invisible. I'm making theory tests and need to have completely empty measures for students to add key signatures on the paper.

I know I was able to make anything invisible about 6 years ago, but I can't remember how, and I've searched and searched and can't find how to do it.
