Chords only play when clicked
I've combed through past comments and tried everything. Inspector set to play, mixer not muted, solo'd, changed instruments, styles, fonts, started new score, rebooted system, changed audio outputs, etc. All chord letters (Cmd-K) have stopped playing during playback in all of my scores, but individual chords will play when clicked on and sometimes the previous chord will play once when starting playback in middle of score.
Attached is extracted instrument part pasted into fresh new file. Can someone see if chords play on your version?
If so, can I wiped Musescore from Mac and reinstall without losing past work?

The cords are playing if you attach them to the upper stave - not to the tab stave. At least in my 3.7.
Probably a bug.

Thanks to you, I think I figured out the bug. If I add a new instrument as Guitar (Tab), the chords work. If instrument is guitar and I add a linked Tab staff they do not. Now I know.

That's not quite true. If you have a guitar part with the tab or the notes alone, it works.
But if you have notes and the linked tab, it only works if you assign the chord to the line with the notes.

Ah OK, then I can just delete the staff or convert it to tab? That'll help on old scores, thanks!
