Adding new symbols - is importing graphic perhaps possible?
I'm looking to enter a symbol used by many wire-strung harp players but not standard elsewhere, a vertical column of 3 or 4 o's, touching in their stack. It instructs the player to use a particular decoration.
One suggestion was to pretend that each "o" is a lyric for three verses, and hope that the o's could then be moved, but this would take ages each time, so I'd like to somehow add it to a palate.
I'll be grateful for suggestions as how I might manage this, please.
Is it possible to import it as a graphic file, maybe, and add it in that way, for example?
Thanks for any help.

Thank you for this link. I'm still new to Musescore and have a lot to learn! Here's a large version of what's wanted.

If you do not find better ... (Save the attachment and drag it to the score) Is stave text (Ctrl + T)
You can add an image to the https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palette#custom-palettes

Thank you again. I'll try that. If it doesn't work for me I'll ask again :-)

Yes! - I dragged the image file onto my score successfully, so that's good. Thanks again.
I'm not yet clever enough to work out how to install it into a palette. Possibly because I use Ubuntu OS rather than Windows, I don't get the same "properties" dialogue box coming up when right clicking on palettes.
Meanwhile I'll have to come back to it tomorrow now.

If you are in a custom workspace then you can press ctrl and shift while dragging the symbol to a palette, perhaps one you created for harp music.

More thanks! I'm progressing. I can't yet make it work consistently, but by just pressing and holding shift while the png file was selected on my desktop I was able to drag it across into a palette space.
For some reason (Ubuntu OS?) it ignored ctrl + shift.
What an excellently helpful place this forum is :-)

I wasn't clear. I thought the symbol was in the score. You can drag any symbol in the score to a custom palette by using ctrl+shift. From your desktop I would expect ctrl drag to work since this is the OS copy command.
