Piano Pedal
Yeah, I don't compose for piano often since I don't play and I and composing a pice upon request now. How do I enter pedalling and have the playback work (if possible)?

The pedal symbol is found in the Lines palette- it's the one with the abbreviation "Ped" in script. See Line in the Handbook for info on how to use these (in particular, use the keyboard rather than mouse to control the length of the line).

Thank you, those need better labeling.
And how can I change my styles so that the particular line style is always the same. The default is horrid.

1 - Style, change text style;
select "Text line" and choose the font.
2 - Enter from the palette "Ped." Right click: property line. In the box "Text" type "Pedal"

Four years now, have you found how to set "Ped." as default text?
I like this simple style, but manually change every one is not fun. when there are so many, like this one I am working at:

That is already available as one of the standard options (wasn't four years ago, but has been for at least a year). Assuming you are in the Advanced as opposed to Basic workspace (see control at bottom of Palettes window), then the "Ped" and "*" marking is the second entry in the pedal section of the Lines palette. No need to manually change anything.

yes, I could see it, and I had to do step 1, 2, 3, to change everyone of them to simple style, there are about 150 of them.
I wonder somewhere I could change/set the default text.

Oh, you are saying you don't want the standard font for the "Ped" marking but wish to substitute a different one? You can do that as well. Just customize one marking this way, then add it to your palette as described in the Handbook under "Custom palette".

Not sure what you mean about better labelling or looking horrid. That's the centuries-old (?) standard marking, and a plain label appears on mouse hover.

I'm not a pianist and I'm not refering to the symbols, themselves. Well, kind of. The specific symbol that is in the pallette I have never seen before. Which is why I didn't know which one was the pedal tool.
I'm a music student and I'm only just learning the piano so I am not familiar with every symbol.
