Splitting a stave
Dear all,
i have stumbled upon a problem & I cannot find the way out of it. At the moment I am writing down a cello part of a concerto. In the middle of the concert the part divides for 43 measures into two parts. I cannot get the stave to divide and then just be one stave again.
Does anyone know how to do that?
I hope you can make some sense out of my english..

Simply add add another staff, add whatever notes you want, then at the end go to Style / General and check "Hide empty staves".

Use Breaks and spacers?

Can you be more specific? following the steps I gave above should produce exactly that result if you are finding otherwise, please tell us at which step something seems to go wrong and attach the actual score so we can see what might be happening.
