Read one part but hear whole score
Is it possible to configure Musescore so a pupil can hear the whole score but have only their own part on view with the cursor moving across. This would be very useful for teaching purposes.

You can easily do this by setting the visibility of the instruments in the Score.
Press the "i" key, or go to Edit -> Instruments.
In the window that opens, you will see the "Visible" boxes for each of the instruments.
Unmark the others except the instrument you want to appear.
Press "OK" button.
Save the Score with "Save as" command. (With an additional name eg "Etude113-student.mscz")

Additional:
If this is a choir piece, you must make a separate copies by the number of the parts.
in Attachment: You only see the tenor part. (others invisible)
The student can increase the volume of the related part from the Mixer. (F10 to toggle) //Using the Solo button will also be helpful.

Many thanks. I tried it and it works well. I have also set the "Display Parts" so I can swap between the individual part playing with just that part sounding, or the whole score which with only one instrument shown still has the whole ensemble playing. It should make teaching my arrangements much easier.

It is for Brass Ensemble/ Brass Band but should make practicing the simpler harmony and rhythm parts more interesting for beginners. A resource which plays parts in rhythm ought to save a lot of time as one cannot simultaneously both play a brass instrument and make comments to the student.
