Two shortcuts to change note duration up or down
Hello everyone
I've noticed that I can move the most recently added note up or down by pressing the up or down arrow. Is there is similar pair of shortcuts that I can use to change the duration of the most recently added note (e.g. + and -)?
In other words, suppose I place a quarter note but I wanted to place a half note, is there a way to change the quarter note into a half note without having to remove the note first and then using the number shortcuts (and without using the mouse, obviously)?
(On a related note(!), is it at all possible to change a note without having to remove it first?)
Thanks

q and w
(and yes, just select and type the new duration, it'll overwrite the next note if longer, and add a rest if shorther though)

Fantastic. I have read about q and w in the user manual but the penny didn't drop.

Do forget shift+q and shift+w that add or subtract a dot to the last note.
