Playback mode

Amongst other things I use Musescore for is to help me learn new pieces. In addition to the score, there are three features or 'clues' which can be used to assist in reading the piece: the metronome tick, the audio of the note and the visual highlight of each note played.

I was looking for a way to control each feature individually so I can select which 'clue' to use (or not use). Currently, I can turn the metronome on and off, I can mute each instrument or part. I also want to turn on or off the highlight of notes. Then without the highlighted note, Musescore would mimic somebody else playing with me- similar to using a paper score. This would fit nicely with changes in tempo or selecting loops of difficult passages.

If I am using Musescore to play in unison or a complementary part I want to improve my reading without the additional visual 'clue', like reading from paper.

In this way it would improve the use of Musescore as a learning tool. After all, no-one would normally point to each note as you play it.

I suppose I could simply print out the score and play from that but I do like playing straight off the screen and being very interactive with my "teacher".
