notation question
See attached image. I don't have just any clue, how staff 1, voice 1 is notated (time signature 4/4). For me it looks like a half rest, a quarter as triplet, an eighth note and two eighth notes as triplet. But this wouldn't match with the time signature. Any suggestions?

In my non-expert experience, when things get complicated, editors or composers leave out some of the things that are strictly necessary -- "everyone knows what we really mean, and it would be too complicated to spell it out".
So the last quarter note's worth of time beginning on G, is a big triplet, with two sub-triplets. They have simply omitted the "3" above the whole thing, which would include the G.
I don't know that that whole measure rest is between the top two staves, though.

You are probably right about the triplet with sub triplets. It lines up better with the fragment of the fifth line I now see. I think it's better than my explanation.
This is what it looks to me like they did. This is base upon trying to line up the down beats in this rather sloppy score.

I attached the file also in case anyone wants to see what I did. I left the numbers as relationships to clarify what I did.
In this way?
Thanks a lot MikeN, mike320 and Vinella for clarifying.
