Would anyone be interested in a specailized orchesral percussion and mallet soundfont?
I was thinking of making a soundfont specialized for orchestral percussion, and I was going to include some of those presets in my Sonatina project as well, but I wanted to know if there was any interest before I did so.

EDIT:
presets would include (but there would probably be more)
Celeste at two velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
Marimba at 3 velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
There would be different mallet types on the marimba
There would be different articulations on the marimba
Vibraphone at 3 velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
There would be different articulations on the vibraphone
Bells/Glockenspiel at 3 velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
There would be different mallet types on the glockenspiel
Crotales in 3 velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
Thai Gong in 3 velocity layers sampled in minor 3rds
Cymbals in 3 velocity layers of various sizes
There will be a variety of techniques on the cymbals including stick, crash, mallet and bow

will the percussion sound font be available to download separate from the sonatina one?
In reply to will the percussion sound by KeldeoJustified
Yes.
Only a few GM sounds will be available in the Sonatina bank. It will also come in SFZ format.

I know I'm really late to this, but I love the idea as well.

so have you made it yet?????
Go for it m8 :)
Although I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that SFZ is the way forward, not SF2.
Now all we need is someone to improve the Zerberus SFZ player :)

I could make a MuseScore compatible SFZ. I actually find making SFZ files easier than SF2.

Would you mind helping me out a bit with the file to make sure it is compatible with MuseScore?

Not at all.
You can find a list of opcodes that Zerberus supports at MuseScore's GIT repository here.......

Thank you, I think I figured out the problem I was having earlier, and this is very helpful as well.
Just one more vote: Great idea!
Just to get this out of the way now

Thanks for your contribution.
Regards,
I would be! Also, maybe include a pedal glock and also motor mode(like the pizzicato for strings) for vibes?
In reply to I would be! Also, maybe by KeldeoJustified
I don't know if such samples exist that are Creative Commons or Public Domain
In reply to I don't know if such samples by [DELETED] 597046
maybe via mixing different sound fonts/different effects?
I can get a semi-flutter-toungue sound by putting a flute tremolo

You should be able to emulate vibraphone motor mode by using the LFO built into the soundfont spec.

Thanks ChurchOrganist! Never thought about it bur you're right.
When is the Soundfont going to be finished?
I know a really good orchestra soundfont that already has a lot of UoI soundfonts but not a percussion one. This soundfont should be good in there.
