Is there a good way to get symmetry here?
Is it possible to get these numbers to line up vertically, while still writing them as lyrics? "Left alignment" doesn't do the trick.

Can't get it to work, I get a distance between the number and word but because (maybe) the words are different the numbers don't line up.

They should align regardless. Can you share the score?

You mean like this?
Look at bar 31. The first line has bigger letters than line 2 and 3 but I want it that way. But numbers not aligned as you see.

Also looks like there is more than one space between them? I'm not at my PC at the moment, so can't check, will have a look later.

The manual adjustments you've made to the sizes is confusing the algorithm here. it was designed to do the right in the usual case, but it can be fooled by trickery such as this. Reset both of those lyrics to text style defaults using the Inspector and all is well.

What I meant was line up horizontally. And I managed to do that. But I also want perfect symmetry, vertically, and that seems to be more tricky than one might think.
You see I want the vertical distance between line 1 and 2 to be exactly the same as between 2 and 3. But I want them all to be closer than they naturally are, so I have to put line 2 an exact number of "steps"/pixels higher, and then I have to put line 3 the exact same number of pixels higher so it's symmetry. And I haven't really managed to do that exactly right yet...

Like I said, correct the formatting by pressing Reset Text to Style in the Inspector, and it lines up horizontally. The problem is caused by mistmatches between the style, properties, and the actual text.
As for vertical positioning, instead of fiddling with that manually, just change Style / General / Page / Lyrics line height.

Thanks!
It's starting to make sense to me now.
