Drum Rolls
How do you create a drum roll using Musescore 1.1? I've looked in the "Articulations & Ornaments", "Note Heads", "Symbols", and "Beam Properties" palettes and still can't find one. Help?

I'm not sure.
If by "create" you mean notate, it's in "Tremolo" but it won't play.

Appreciate the effort, but sounds more like a machine gun than a drum roll. Isn't there a sample of a drum roll in some instrument bank?

Could well be. See the Handbook under "Soundfonts" to learn how to install alternate sounds, and do a search online to see if you can find one that suits your needs. It's not a standard sound in General MIDI as far as I know however, so that's why most soundfonts probably won't include it.
it will play since the update, this comments from a while ago but for people coming to see it now i thought id update the information
In Musescore 2, go into the palettes, go to the bottom, and switch from basic to advanced. Then go to tremolo, and select what type of roll you want to use, and double tap it, once you have selected the note you want this roll to be on.
