Printing or View issue

My bandmate & I each have used Musescore 1.1 version for some time now. Occasionally we have what I think MAY be a compatability issue. I have a PC, and she has an Apple. Usually we send scores back & forth with no problem, but very occasionally she will be either unable to open one of mine, or it will open but only show us the top portion of the score: the title and the first line of a double staff score. Maybe this is a given, but it will only print what it shows--so it looks like the Apple computer has either not received the entire document, or can't accept the whole thing. Has anyone else had this problem, & if so were you able to fix it? Do you think the problem is on the Apple or the Microsoft side of the issue? Would using the most recent version of Musescore fix this?

You can run MuseScore 1.x and 2.x side by side without interference. So download and install the latest MuseScore 2.1 and you'll be able to answer your own question.

Upgrade to 1.3 at least, it that is possible for the Mac (it may be too old).
Install 2.1 in parallel (again, if the Mac isn't too old for that).
