Bar numbers below the bar?
Is there any way to automatically place the bar numbers below the bar rather than above (as seems to be the default)? I would want to have all bar numbers in a score below the bars (except select ones that I want above the bar). Currently I can move each bar number down manually by selecting the number and then use the down arrow key to move the number down, but this is very time consuming, esp when there are 90 bars in a score!!! See image below of what I would like to do (the numbers were moved manually).
Cheers
Charles

Style/Text/Bar numbers, change the offset from the default -2 to e.g. +7

Thanks.
The bad news is that this doesn't work too well with multiple instruments, more than one staff, esp. when using 'Hide empty staves', as then different offstes would be needed per system.
The offset set in the text style settings are relative to the (top) staff, not relative to the system, but really should be.

Hi again Jojo-Schmitz... thanks for this info... I'll keep it in mind! Luckily the score I'm using only has one instrument (tenor sax) so for me, your suggestion works absolutely fine.

Is there are any way to create a bar numbers below the bottom staff of the orchestral score? As I was studying this was a standard requirement for score layout and in fact helps for the rehearsal convenience. On many professional big band charts this is the case. Is this something we could ask for in the future? Thank you

Definitely something we'd like to see added as well, but the only way to get this right now would be to add to all staves then hide the ones on the other staves. At least with 3.5 you can set the position below each staff.
