Be sure to be using a relatively recent (2.0 or later) version of MuseScore. Online help wasn't available in ancient versions like 1.3. But in current versions, click any element in your score (nopt in the palette - the actual line in your score) and press the F1 key on your keyboard should take you to the Help for that element. Depending on your OS and keyboard, you might need to also press Fn or some other button to activate the function keys.

Select the line and press F1 and shortly after you end up at https://musescore.org/en/handbook/lines#change-length :-)

It didn't work for me.
Can't you just tell me how.
I know it's very simple.
I just don't remember.
I looked in the manual and failed there too.

Shift+Right, just like in the manual I linked to above

It went to your link in the book when I clicked on your typing above,
but not when I was in musescore. Anyway, thanks for saying Shift+Right.
