Change instrument mid score
Is there a way that I can change the stave 1 instrument mid score (tenor saxophone to hand clap and then back to tenor saxophone). I'd rather not have to add a stave 2 with the hand clap if I can help it. I've read through many forum posts and the handbook, but can't find a way to do this. I'm unsure if it's actually possible to do this. Any help would be appreciated!! Here's a screenshot of how the score looks...
Thnx in advance
Charles

Thnx (again) Jojo-Schmitz.
I totally missed this section of the handbook, so thnx for the link. In spite of the fact that the handbook states 'Mid-staff instrument changes are limited to the same type of staff. For example, you cannot change between a percussion staff and a pitched instrument staff or vice versa' I was able to use the 'Change Instrument' text to set up a change from Bb Sax to Claves and back to Bb Sax. Although I tried Hand Clap this sounded more like bell (even changing 'pitch' lower -- from A3 to C3 didn't quite give me a hand clap sound). The claves aren't quite the same as a 'real' hand clap, but for practice this works really well. I've attached the score (again for my young son's wind ensemble) if you want to have alook at it.
Cheers and thnx!

You can switch between different staff types too, via 'Hide empts staves' and 0-width horizontal frames
